Her life is considered to be dramatic, as she switched her career from a fashion model and an actress to a painter. Also, she has broadened her work as a columnist and a calligrapher. During her childhood, drawing played a role in healing mental and physical deficiencies. Now, it has become her lifelong career, communicating with the world as it continuously evolves. This is the life of actress and painter Kim Hyeon-jung.


She will participate in the Korea-China Calligraphy Art Exchange Seodomumun (서도무문, 書道無門) that will begin on March 16 at the Korean Cultural Center in Beijing.

Her world of art seems to have no end as it reflects the title of the exhibition, "There Is No Door In Calligraphy." Over the past year in Beijing, she said that she has soothed the loneliness and difficulty of leaving home by writing calligraphy.

One of her scripts, "All is well achieved if the heart is pure" (心淸事達), seems to reflect her state of mind during her stay in Beijing. The following work, "The most beautiful moments in life" (花樣年華), seems to imply how she conquered the torments and created her works.

"Get righteousness with real action" (實事求是) shows her willingness to overcome reality and observe the world.

​The works of Kim Hyeon-jung can be seen at the Korea-China Calligraphy Art Exchange Seodomumun (서도무문, 書道無門) in Beijing.

The exhibition continues until March. 14. The works of Chinese writers Wangyuci and Limou, as well as Korean writers Do Hyeon-woo, Jeong Seong-hoon, Park Byung-joo and Jeong Hae-in, are also on display.
